An 88-year-old woman has died after being struck by a lorry in North Ayrshire.
The pensioner was crossing Main Street in Largs when she was hit by the HGV at about 10.05am on Wednesday.
Emergency crews attended, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Scotland said the driver of the lorry was a 51-year-old man.
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the woman who died.
"Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing."

Those who witnessed the crash are being urged to come forward.
Sergeant Stewart added: "We ask any drivers in Main Street around the time of the crash to check their dashcam footage and please get in touch if it holds anything which may be relevant to our investigation."
