Last month was the fourth wettest month since records began in 1894, recording 241mm in rainfall.
During the first five days of October, 109.7mm of rain was recorded at the Maison St. Louis Observatory, which is more than the average October altogether.
The last wettest October was in 2004, recording 218.9mm of rainfall.
Only December 1999 (279.8mm), November 1910 (266.4mm), and December 2011 (247.4mm) surpassed last month.
