Jason Wyse and Mike Haden have been recognised in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours List.
Jason Wyse has been a has pivotal figure in tackling addiction in Jersey for the past two decades.
He became CEO of the Silkworth charity in 2008. The charity operates Silkworth Lodge, which is the only dedicated drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation facility in the Channel Islands.
It supports individuals and their families through treatment and recovery from alcohol and substance dependency.
Mike Haden has been involved with the Jersey branch of Hands Around the World since it first began in the island, 25 years ago.
It promotes access to good quality education and equitable opportunities for children and young people in and around Bugarama, Rwanda.
Mr Haden says his MBE is a great a honour for him, and also for the charity and the team:
"We have a partnerships with 9 schools in South west Rwanda and we've built them up over 16 years, and we make large contributions to schools - tackling classroom congestion, building new toilets.
"One of our latest projects we've finished is girls hygiene rooms in each school - this means they don't have to stay home and are able to still attend school. It's made a huge difference to girls education."
Also honoured by the King is Dawn Tinley, who receives a British Empire Medal for her work with people in the island with a learning disability
