Two men have been charged with separate assaults on police officers in Jersey on New Years Eve.
A 34 year old man has been charged with committing a Grave and Criminal Assault on a female officer on Princes Tower Road.
He is in police custody and will appear before the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
A 29 year old man is due in court tomorrow accused of assaulting a male police constable in Colombus Street, also on the last day of 2018.
The force says New Years Eve was as busy as it expected it to be.
Acting Chief Inspector Mark Hafey says to see two colleagues assaulted is unacceptable.
He has praised the hard work and professionalism of officers.
The morning after a busy night for @JerseyPolice. Whilst we expect NYE to be busy, & it was, to see two officers assaulted in separate incidents is unacceptable. Thanks to colleagues who worked so hard last night & acted so professionally. #PoliceFamily pic.twitter.com/GKVvAFtzuz
