The Jersey Boat Show Is Back!

All things nautical and nice can be found at St Helier Marina this weekend as the Jersey Boat Show returns for the first time since 2019.

Thousands of people are expected to get 'back on board' at the maritime extravaganza over the next three days.

It gets underway at lunchtime on Friday (10 June) after a three year break caused by the Covid pandemic.

The event regularly drew crowds of more than 30,000 making it the largest free-entry show in the Channel Islands.

The pontoons will be filled with vessels of all varieties open to public to step on deck and take a look around.

Marine traders include Sunseeker, Fairline, Princess, Dufour and Kawasaki.

The pontoons will be open between 1pm to 7pm on Friday, 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

UK Border Forces Coastal Patrol Vessel 'Alert'  will be there with officers from UK Border Force and Jersey Customs and Immigration Service on board to talk about their roles and answer your questions.

The show sees the return of the ‘Outdoor & Active Zone’ on the Albert Pier with a programme of activities and demonstrations.

Kayaking, rowing and paddle-boarding will all be represented, plus there will be a daily skydive into the harbour by Skydive Jersey.

The popular 'Kids Zone' is back too in an area by the Steam Clock and there will be live music and entertainment on the Main Stage in Weighbridge Place.

A new addition to the 2022 show is the “In Conversation With…” seminars, which will be taking place in the Hospitality Marquee on Friday afternoon and throughout Sunday.

Hosted by former Sky TV journalist, Lucy Cotter, she’ll be chatting with a variety of guests, including the first female Rear Admiral of the Royal Navy Jersey woman Jude Terry OBE.

"There really is something for everybody - whether you are a mariner of not.

After the last few years we have had, it's a great opportunity for family and friends to get together, soak up the atmosphere.  We have got a fantastic range of activities - both on and off the water - there's the usual catering outlets, the boats to see down on the pontoons - so it is a really great family-friendly, community-focused three-day event." - Alan Donald, Ports of Jersey.

Watch: A look back at the 2019 Boat Show - the last time the event could be staged in Jersey.

The Jersey Boat Show is sponsored by Barclays and is raising money for Jersey Hospice Care and Jersey Samaritans.

Opening times:

· 1pm and 8pm on Friday 10 June

· 10am and 6pm on Saturday 11 June

· 10am and 5pm on Sunday 12 June.
