Texas and Tom Grennan are coming to Jersey for this year's Weekender Festival, which has a new location.

Weekender has unveiled People's Park as the venue for 2024.

It's the first time since the festival started that it won't be held at the Royal Jersey Showground in Trinity.

Organisers say the event area at People's Park will be a similar size, with a capacity for 10,000 people.

Warren Le Sueur, the event's co-founder, says they just wanted to change up the venue.

"We're conscious that getting people back and forth from Trinity can be a challenge at times.

"We've done events in town before and the feedback is always 'Why don't you ever do anything in town?' so we're trying it out."

Texas, known for hits 'Say What You Want', 'Inner Smile', and 'Halo' are headlining on Saturday 31 August.

The Scottish pop-rock band was formed in Glasgow by Johnny McElhone, Ally McErlaine, and Sharleen Spiteri in 1986 and has released 10 studio albums.

Texas graced Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage last summer and announced a 2024 UK Tour.

Tom Grennan, whose hits include 'How Does It Feel' and 'Lionheart', will be headlining on Sunday 1 September.

The 28-year-old London-based star rose to success in 2016 after featuring on the Chase & Status single 'All Goes Wrong'.

More recently, Tom Grennan has collaborated with artists including Joel Correy, Ella Henderson and KSI, and released his third studio album in June 2023.

The main stage will be back again this year, with multiple areas included in the mix.

Islanders will see the return of the dance area, with one day dedicated to D'n'B and the other to house fans, the local stage, and a VIP area.

Warren Le Sueur is assuring festival-goers it will be a familiar experience.

"It's going to be effectively taking the template of Weekender and plonking it into People's Park."

When asked by Channel 103 about other acts on the bill, he hinted that more main-stage artists will be announced in the next few weeks.
