Superdrug will open its first shop in the Channel Islands this summer.
Back in January, Channel 103 revealed the UK beauty chain was planning to move into the former Mothercare store at 76-78 King Street.
The high street chain has today confirmed it plans to open the store on Thursday 15 August, creating 25 jobs.
Jerry Walkling, Superdrug's Retail Director, hopes the new shop will help keep St Helier's high street thriving:
“We are delighted to be opening our much anticipated Jersey store to customers this summer at the height of the holiday season; we know it will be an asset to King Street’s broad retail offering and look forward to bringing our wide range of health and beauty products and services to the people of Jersey.”
He says the retailer will be working closely with the Government of Jersey's 'Back to Work' scheme to fill the new jobs.
