Jersey Police are appealing for information after an alleged domestic assault in the town centre in the early hours of Monday (4 May).
Officers are trying to piece together the movements of a man and a woman who had been at 'Lib in the Square' on Sunday before leaving together at 11.30pm.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw them as they moved between Library Place, Mulcaster Street, The Weighbridge and Liberty Wharf between then and 2am.
It is understood they were arguing, and there are allegations of serious assaults.
The man is described as in his 30s with short dark hair, wearing a light-coloured jumper and dark trousers.
The woman, in her 20s, has long dark hair and was wearing a black vest top and light blue jeans.
Police are particularly looking to speak the member of Lib in the Square security staff who raised concerns, and a woman who helped the woman involved by escorting her away from the man and into Chambers at around 1.15am.
A 31-year-old man has been charged in connection with the alleged incidents and has been remanded in custody. Further enquiries are ongoing.
Police say it is 'important that anyone who may have seen or heard anything comes forward'.
Anyone with information, dashcam footage, CCTV, or mobile phone recordings from the area at the relevant time is asked to contact police on 01534 612612 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference M02962/2026.
