Hospital staff are working in their pyjamas to raise awareness of so-called PJ Paralysis.
Nurses are trying to encourage patients to - wherever possible - get dressed during the day, and get moving around.
It has been shown to reduce falls and shorten hospital stays.
"That benefits you in terms of reducing muscle loss and also dignity. We know that if you are sat there in your pyjamas it is undignified and it doesn't say 'I am up and ready to go home'. - Becky Sherrington, Head of Nursing and Governance at the General Hospital.
Relatives of people in hospital are being asked to help by checking that their loved ones has appropriate, comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and well-fitting shoes to wear.
