Alan Le Maistre has been appointed the new CEO for the National Trust for Jersey.

Mr Le Maistre currently works for the Trust as its Fundraising Officer.

He'll take over from Charles Alluto who is stepping down.

Alan says he is excited to be able give back to the Jersey.

“We are blessed to live on an island so rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. Our island unites us, and we have a shared responsibility to protect it, for the enjoyment of all islanders and for future generations.

I am very grateful for the opportunity afforded to me by the Trust. It is an exciting time for the organisation. We have the chance to build on our past success and to use our lands, buildings, and people to give back so much more to the island.

I very much look forward to being part of that journey.”

The Trust's President Charlie Malet de Carteret is looking forward to working with Alan.

“We are delighted that Alan has accepted the role as the Trust’s CEO. We are confident that he will build upon the strong foundations which Charles Alluto has established over the last 25 years and take the Trust forward towards its 100th anniversary in 2036.

The Council and all our staff very much look forward to working with him.”

Alan will take over the role in April.
