Police in Jersey are looking for a green tractor that crashed at the bottom of Mont Felard in St Lawrence on Friday afternoon.
It was towing farm equipment up the hill when it hit the rockface near the Hotel Cristina at around 1:10pm.
The machinery being towed snagged on mesh webbing at the roadside which caused rubble to fall into the road.
Police say the mesh remained attached as the tractor continued up the hill, with the driver not stopping or reporting the accident.
Officers are looking to hear from anyone who saw what happened or may have dashcam footage of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to call the States of Jersey Police on 01534 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously.
