A 66-year-old man has been arrested after a blue taxi collided with a white truck, drove away, and then crashed head-on into a wall.
Police say the first incident took place on Friday 19 February on St Saviour's Hill, with the taxi then going up Wellington Hill, hitting a wall at around 5:15pm, and driving off towards Highlands College.
The 66-year old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, and failing to stop and report.
He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information or dash-cam footage of the incident can call police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man has been arrested after thefts from 25 cars across Jersey last week.
Most of the offences took place in St Mary, with items such as cash and scratchcards stolen.
The arrested man was interviewed and released on bail whilst enquiries continue.
