Jersey Police have made an arrest after a man was stabbed with a knife near St Thomas Church.
Officers were called to Val Plaisant on Sunday morning after reports of an assault.
The man in his late 20s was stabbed and left lying on the pavement. The perpetrator fled the scene.
The area was cordoned off while searches began for the suspect and knife.
A 24 year old man is currently being questioned on suspicion of grave and criminal assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was detained at a property in Val Plaisant last night.
The victim escaped with minor injuries.
