The June heat record in Jersey wasn't broken today, but it almost certainly will fall tomorrow.
Temperatures reached a high of 32.1°C at Maison St Louis Observatory, despite the forecast predicting 34°C.
The record for the month is 33.4°C, set on 30 June 2025.

Highs of 38°C are predicted tomorrow (Tuesday 23 June) and on Wednesday (24 June), which would break the record for the warmest June day in Jersey and the warmest temperature ever recorded in the island.
The warmest day ever recorded in Jersey was 37.9°C on 18 July 2022.
Jersey Met has told Channel 103 it could even reach 40°C this week.
Some Jersey businesses and schools have already announced they will be closing early because of the heat.
Public Health advice for islanders to best cope with the coming few days of heat is to:
- Cool off indoors during the hottest part of the day (11am - 3pm or later) when the UV is at its strongest
- Leave strenuous activity for early or much later when it is cooler
- Take cool baths and showers
- Drink plenty of water and avoid coffee and alcohol
- Close curtains, open windows for the breeze, and use fans
- Wear a hat and loose light clothing
- Wear sun cream that is in date and with a minimum SPF of 30
