The cost of sending a letter is set to rise later this month.
Jersey Post has increased the cost of a local letter by two pence, to 54p for a stamp.
UK mail will cost three pence more, while European and Worldwide post will also go up by four and six pence each:
| Destination | 2019 Price | 2020 Price | Price Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jersey | £0.52 | £0.54 | £0.02 |
| UK, Channel Islands & Isle of Man | £0.67 | £0.70 | £0.03 |
| Europe | £0.80 | £0.84 | £0.04 |
| Rest of World | £0.99 | £1.05 | £0.06 |
The company says the rise is down to declining mail volumes, the cost of handling parcels and regulatory changes.
The new prices come into effect from Thursday 26th of March.
