School fees at Jersey College for Girls and Jersey College Prepatory will go up from September - and further still next year.
It will cost £1,822 pounds a term for pupils going to JCG from September and £1,960 pounds from January 2020.
At JCP the fees will cost £1,761 from September and £1,893 from the new year.
That's an increase of 7.5%, after approval from Treasury Minister Deputy Susie Pinel.
A further 5% hike has also been granted for the following academic year (2020-2021) - £2,058 pounds per term at JCG and £1,988 a term at Prep.
The government says it's in order to meet 'anticipated costs', which is forecast to generate an extra £435,000. (£292,000 from JCG and £143,000 from JCP)
The anti-inflation strategy states that increases in States fees and charges should be limited to 2.5% per annum, with 'compelling cases' needing the approval of the Treasury Minister.
It's also been agreed by Education Minister Senator Tracey Vallois.
