Alan Geoffrey Falle has been jailed for more than three years and put on the Sex Offenders Register for seven years, after admitting multiple sexual offences.
The 35 year old pleaded guilty in November 2025 to 12 counts of abusing his position of trust by a sexual act.
The historical crimes were committed whilst he was a teacher, with Jersey Police calling them a 'serious betrayal of the trust placed in him.'
The girl was aged 16 or 17 at the time.
A police spokesperson said: “Today marks the conclusion of a distressing process for the victim, our thoughts are firmly with them.
"Coming forward in such circumstances requires immense courage.
“Offences of this nature have a profound and lasting impact, not only on the victim but also on families, peers, and the wider community.
“The States of Jersey Police remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting victims of offences of this nature, ensuring they feel fully supported throughout the criminal justice process and that they have access to appropriate support through our specialist partner agencies.”
Falle - who has previously taken part in charity races, including the Jersey Marathon, and a hosted a local podcast about mental health - has been sentenced by the Royal Court to three years and four months in prison, and seven years on the Sex Offenders Register.
