There'll be direct flights from Jersey to Olbia in Sardinia in 2027.
They'll be offered by the C.I. Travel Group between May and August next year.
Its FlyDirect 2027 summer programme also includes weekly flights to Majorca and Ibiza, Malaga on the Costa del Sol, and Faro.
The group says its increasing capacity across Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man following a steady rise in demand for direct flights.
Alexander Devlin, C.I. Travel Group's Director, said:
"Jersey residents have long appreciated the convenience of direct flights, which mean there is no need to travel through a UK airport or book an overnight stay before reaching your destination.
"Sardinia is the first time we have offered holidays to Italy, and we are extremely excited about this stunning new destination in the Mediterranean."
Paul Holley, Head of Connectivity at Ports of Jersey, said:
"The launch of FlyDirect’s Summer 2027 programme brings the convenience of direct flights from Jersey to five outstanding sunshine destinations.
"Alongside popular returning favourites in Spain and Portugal, the addition of Sardinia provides an exciting new Italian option for islanders planning next year’s break."
All flights from Jersey next summer will continue to be operated by FlyDirect’s partner airline BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways, using Embraer 190 jet aircraft.
