A person is being treated in hospital for coronavirus, for the first time since July.
The latest figures, published last night, reveal that five new cases were detected in Jersey on Friday, but two others recovered.
It brings the number of active cases in the island up to 45.
23 of them have shown COVID-19 symptoms while the other 22 are asymptomatic.
A government statement says the patient in the hospital is receiving the appropriate care, and full contact tracing has taken place.
A person has tested positive for COVID on admission to hospital and is being cared for appropriately. Full contact tracing has taken place. It is inappropriate to make any further comment on an individual case.
