Condor Waiving Charges For Ukraine Deliveries

Islanders won't be charged by Condor for delivering essential supplies to Ukraine.

The ferry firm has removed fare and freight charges between Guernsey, Jersey, and St Malo for vehicles and passengers travelling with food, medicines, and other items that have been donated to help those in Eastern Europe.

Condor Freight Director Steve Champion-Smith says they're pleased to do their bit in supporting the aid effort.

"It is really gratifying to see so many islanders who are willing to help and we calculate that we have already transported 100 tonnes of goods.

Two lorries travelled with us to St Malo over the weekend en route to Poland and there are more scheduled over the coming days.

We are also transferring a vehicle from Jersey that is being equipped under guidance from the UK’s Ukrainian Embassy as a first aid, immediate response vehicle."

Four vehicles of aid are booked onto Friday's Voyager crossing from Guernsey.

Condor is also handling the paperwork needed for shipments , which includes transit documents and export declarations.

Anyone wanting to take items via St Malo can email [email protected] , call 728620 in Guernsey, or 872509 in Jersey.
