The number of jobs in Jersey has gone up by 4.4% in the year to June 2021.
That is the biggest increase since at least 1998.
As of the end of June 2021, there are 62,430 jobs here.

There are 2,200 more in the private sector and 450 more in the public sector.
The public sector increase is driven mostly by the government employing more staff, particularly in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The largest sector increase was 700 in hotels, restaurants, and bars. That is the biggest rise in any industry since the Control of Housing and Work Law came into force in 2013.
