A 28-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being punched outside St Saviour's Court.
It happened on Ann Street sometime between midnight and 00:35am on Saturday 19 September.
The victim has since been discharged from the hospital.
The suspect is described as a British male, around 5"9 to 6ft tall, with brown hair, and wearing dark clothing.
He was last seen, after the incident, walking along Ann Street towards the direction of Bacchus Bar.
Jersey Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may CCTV, dashcam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage from Ann Street, La Motte Street, or the surrounding area.
