Jess Collins, a frontline trainee technician, is training to run the London Marathon for Jersey Heart Support Group.
Jess is currently training and will be taking on the distance in April alongside some of her crewmates.
She is tackling the famous race in aid of Jersey Heart Support Group, and to also equip the island with life-saving technology.
The charity also provides help and care to those who are affected by heart disease.
She says she wants to raise at least £2,000 for a new defibrillator:
"I first hand watch defibrillation and saw how important it is to have it so quickly; it quite literally saves lives.
"Jersey Heart Support puts defibrillators around the island, which is vital if someone collapses; early defibrillation saves lives.
"I think people realise how important it is to have access to them, they're a very expensive piece of equipment, which is why raising money for this charity is so important."
