More than 570 vehicles were stopped during Jersey Police’s ‘Traffic Focus Week’.
Officers were doing extra road checks last week to catch drivers breaking the law.
80 drivers were breathalysed, with two men aged 27 and 36 and a woman aged 50 arrested for drink-driving.
Officers stopped 69 people speeding and three were reported for driving while using a mobile phone.
More than one in five of all the vehicles stopped were defective. 12 of the 124 shoddy motors were impounded by DVS.
24 drivers were caught going through red lights and four were stopped for not wearing a seatbelt.
A 49 year old man was also arrested for driving whilst disqualified.
