4 In 5 Dog Licence Requests Done Online

More than 80% of the people who have applied for dog licences have now moved online.

Parish Halls are giving dog owners the option to move away from paper applications for a more 'streamlined' and 'simple' experience.

Out of the 5,000 people who have renewed or applied for dog licences so far, 4,000 have been done through doglicences.je.

Chairman of the Comité des Connétables, Mike Jackson, says they are delighted that it has been well received and that owners find it provides a simple, quick process to apply and pay for a dog licence.

"We expect the percentage purchasing online may drop a little as paper applications are processed in the next couple of weeks, but overall the launch has gone very smoothly."

The committee say 4,000 islanders are left to apply for their dog licences and are encouraging them to do so before the end of January whilst it costs £10, as it will double to £20 at the start of February.
