There's been an increased police presence around Victoria Avenue after a suspected attempted murder.
Early this morning (26 April), a 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Guernsey Police say one person was urgently transferred to the hospital, where they remain in a 'serious but stable condition'.
Crime scene investigators have been working at a property in the area of Victoria Avenue.
Detective Superintendent Jonathan Bancroft released a statement on social media:
"Incidents of this nature are thankfully very rare occurrences in Guernsey, and I'd like to take this opportunity to reassure islanders that we are not currently searching for any further suspects.
"There is no information at present that suggests any wider risk.
"Enquiries are now ongoing, and anyone with any relevant information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department by calling 01481 222 222, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
