Islanders can use a new platform to report areas that have become overwhelmed with weeds.
Islanders can go to the Weed Watch website or app to report areas where weeds have taken over.
Users are asked to enter a location, a brief description and rate the severity of the problem from minor to severe.
A few entries have already been submitted, with comments describing weeds obscuring pavements and problem areas that have persisted for years.
Lars Janssen says discussions about weed killers on social media inspired him to create the platform:
"Are these complaints about a person's own street, or is it an island wide issue, or perhaps just certain areas reoccurring? I think it is better to try and map the issue and collect data."
Lars says some areas are notoriously bad:
"The areas that stand out are pavements that are overgrown so as pedestrians have to get on the road. This can be very unsafe, particularly as some Guernsey roads are not that big."
