Two men have been arrested for allegedly tricking someone out of £10,000 by pretending to be police.
The suspects apparently convinced a Guernsey convent the cash was needed for an investigation, arranged for it to be left at a collection point, then travelled to Guernsey by ferry to pick it up.
Officers tracked them using CCTV and arrested them as they arrived back in the UK, recovering the money.
Guernsey Police are now urging anyone who received suspicious calls from someone claiming to be from the police since 12th of May to contact them urgently.
