Kerosene, used for heating fuel, was one of the key drivers of Guernsey's 0.3% increase in inflation over Quarter 2, 2026.
This increase can be directly attributed to the Iran conflict and the pressure on crude oil prices.
Other significant inflation drivers include housing costs like mortgage interest and home insurance premiums.
All the components of the inflation basket increased between March and June, with only clothing and footwear dipping.
