It was a Father's Day to remember for Alastair Chalmers, who claimed his sixth British title just days after the birth of his son.
Guernsey hurdler Alastair Chalmers produced a memorable performance at the UK Athletics Championships on 21 June, winning the 400m hurdles final in 49.05 seconds.
The 26-year-old raised his arms in triumph as he crossed the finish line, before heading to celebrate with his fiancée, Ellie Bell, and their newborn son, Robert.
The heartwarming moment was shared by British Athletics on social media, accompanied by the caption: "Alastair Chalmers won’t be forgetting this Father’s Day in a hurry."
Chalmers' victory practically guarantees his selection at the European Athletics Championships in August, which will be held at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium.
