Three vehicles parked behind Peter Roffey's home have had their tyres slashed.
Deputy Peter Roffey returned home a few days ago to find that the tyres on three separate vehicles had been damaged.
These were his e-bike and scooter and his grandson's car, which was parked on his land.
Deputy Roffey has headed up two States departments this political term, Employment and Social Security and the States Trading Supervisory Board. The latter is the shareholder in entities like Guernsey Electricity and Aurigny.
He does not know why exactly he has been targeted, but blames politics:
"It's the first time that something like this has happened to me.
"I've had threats of violence in the past, particularly when I was bringing in the smoking restrictions, but I've always ignored this as hot air."
He says other deputies have also been singled out over the past few years but says politics on a small island should not be like this:
"It's not the Guernsey way. If I've upset people in some way then talk to me about it. I'm pretty accessible and I'm quite happy to have a frank exchange of views."
