Guernsey football fans are invited to watch a free pre-season football tournament this summer.
Eight local clubs will go head-to-head at Victoria Park, competing for the island’s first-ever Spirit Cup.
The action kicks off at 7pm on 16 July, with the newly established Guernsey FC Development team versus the Belgrave Wanderers.
The tournament will run for three weeks, with the final at the stadium on 8 August.
Other clubs competing are: North, Vale Rec, Rangers, Rovers, St Martins and Sylvans.
Rob Jones from the Victoria Park Steering Committee says they are thrilled to support the launch of the new Spirit Cup.
“Victoria Park is a community venue with football at its heart, and we wanted to show this by inviting players and fans for a free tournament in the run-up to the new season.
"The friendly rivalry between our island clubs should make for some fantastic sporting entertainment, and we’re pleased to welcome the Guernsey FC Development team for the first time, who will now doubt look to make their mark in their group.”
