Brittany Ferries says its new timetable for the traditional ferry to Portsmouth, via Cherbourg, is 'imminent.'
The current booking window on the Brittany Ferries website for the Guernsey to Portsmouth route ends just after the October half term.
Dates after 3 November are greyed out and not currently bookable.
It is a key winter travel route as it uses a conventional ferry, which has a greater bad weather tolerance than the fast boats.
Brittany Ferries announced in late June that its Islander vessel would run a triangular route from Portsmouth to Guernsey and then onto Cherbourg and the UK.
This was at the time it announced it was cutting some services to reduce costs.
The Portsmouth to Le Havre route ended abruptly, on 16 September, when the Commodore Clipper developed a mechanical fault.
The service had been in place for around 40 years but ceased early and the Clipper is still in Le Havre.
In June, Brittany Ferries told us that the Commodore Clipper would still provide local back up when the route changes take effect.
“The Clipper will continue to provide resilience and contingency as the dedicated back-up vessel for the Guernsey routes, as she has since the new contract came into effect in April 2025.”
Timetables for the fast ferry services to Poole and St Malo up to November 2027 were published on 6 August.

The company has been praised by the tourism sector and the States for substantially boosting French visitor numbers to Guernsey both last year and this.
Economic Development previously said it was in 'collaborative' talks to make sure any new Portsmouth timetable works for both Guernsey and BF.
A statement issued in early summer said:
"The new rotation is a unique opportunity for building more resilient and sustainable trade links with France and the continent."
"It also opens up a new passenger route for islanders to travel to Cherbourg directly on an approximately two-hour crossing and then return to the island on the Voyager from Saint Malo or an overnight service back via Portsmouth."
