Flights to and from Alderney are being disrupted for six days due to unexpected pilot shortages at Skybus.
Aurigny says "unforeseen pilot absence" at Skybus - which is contracted to operate Alderney flights - have led to disruption.
Some services between Alderney and Guernsey, and Alderney and Southampton, will be changed or cancelled from Saturday 21 to Thursday 26 March.
Aurigny’s Customer Service team is contacting affected passengers.
Skybus Managing Director Jonathan Hinkles apologises for the inconvenience:
"On behalf of the Skybus team, I would like to apologise unreservedly for the inconvenience caused to the community in Alderney.
"We care deeply about this mission and understand the importance of delivering vital lifeline services to island communities – and we recognise this falls short of what is expected.
“We took immediate steps to advise Aurigny as quickly as possible of our operational capabilities at this time – and to ensure they can support customers with the best alternatives possible.
"We appreciate that this represents unfortunate timing and undermines confidence in the robustness of operational planning at Skybus.
"We are doing everything we can to complete flight training for crews dedicated to Aurigny’s Twin Otter services which will build appropriate resilience for Alderney’s connectivity long into the future.”
Chief Commercial Officer at Aurigny Philip Saunders says they will support affected customers.
“As the community would expect, we are working closely with Skybus at this time to ensure that services meet the standards our communities deserve.
"At Aurigny, our dedicated Customer Services team are on hand to provide all the support you would expect with amending itineraries as required.”
Alderney's Policy and Finance committee recently raised concerns about reliability, disruption and customer communication on the Alderney routes.
