Emergency services were called to La Vallette after reports of a medical incident on Tuesday afternoon (19 August).
Police, ambulance and fire crews attended at around 3.20 yesterday afternoon.
They closed the road to the Pools from the bottom of the Val des Terres and there was no access for some time.
Guernsey Police later confirmed a 71-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the Gent's pool.
He was taken by ambulance to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital but died shortly after being admitted.
In a short statement online, Bailiwick Law Enforcement said officers are supporting the man’s family and expressed their condolences to them.
