50,000 cruise passengers heading for Guernsey in 2026

51 cruise ship visits are scheduled for the year ahead, with that number likely to increase.

Guernsey Ports says there is a renewed interest in the island destination from global cruise giants, which will boost visitor numbers over the next two years.

Four operators are expected to bring 50,000 passengers to the island in 2026.

P&O Cruises, Silversea, and Ambassador will be returning, joined by Carnival’s AIDAsol for the first time.

Cruise Guernsey Operations and Business Development Manager, Mark Renouf, says this year's schedule will be good for Guernsey.

"Strong partnerships with Carnival UK and other major cruise operators are key to Guernsey’s success as a cruise destination.

"Over the past 12 months, we have strengthened our relationship with Carnival, rejoined the Cruise Europe network, attended numerous influential trade events, and held face-to-face discussions with global cruise operators.

"Our priority is to attract more cruise lines of all sizes, bring more visitors to Guernsey, and increase the economic benefit to local businesses."

The first ship, Hamburg, will arrive on 14 April with around 400 people on board.

The largest ship expected is Ventura, carrying up to 3,078 passengers, on 6 July.

And the season is expected to end on 10 October, with the Amadea.

In 2026, Alderney can expect 8 cruise ships, Sark 6, and Herm 3.
