A public inquiry has been called into the plans to transform St Helier's Waterfront.
The inquiry will take place after the one for the hospital, and will consider the application against the new Bridging Island Plan.
That plan will be debated by States members next month.
"The terms of reference for the inquiry will be issued at a later date, but will certainly be wide to ensure all the issues likely to be raised by the community can be considered.
An independent inspector will be appointed nearer the time to oversee the process and provide the next Environment Minister with a detailed review of the relevant issues before any decision on the application can be made." - Deputy John Young, Environment Minister.
The outline planning application was registered with the Planning Department in January 2022.
Jersey Development Company CEO Lee Henry has described the plans as 'an important step forward for the island and St Helier's Waterfront.'
