Blue Islands Trial Direct Link With Isle Of Man

Blue Islands is set to try out flights between the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man next month,

The airline will trial the route for 5 weeks, from 7 November to 7 December, following feedback from businesses in the three Crown Dependencies.

"Blue Islands is committed to providing services that bring strategic benefit to the islands. We’re launching this trial with a number of cornerstone corporate partners, who have each taken an advance allocation of seats, enabling us to explore the longer-term viability of a year-round service."

The flights, which will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will cost at least £469 return.

Islanders in Guernsey will also be able to take advantage of the new route, which will include a stopover in Jersey before travelling onto the Isle of Man.

Jersey Finance CEO, Joe Moynihan says the route could bring a number of benefits to the islands.

"As both islands are leading international financial centres, numerous Jersey firms have well-established connections with the Isle of Man, maintaining a presence in both jurisdictions."

The airline says if the trial is successful, a full timetable will be released early next year.
