Charities Share £350k Lottery Cash

Good causes in Jersey are sharing almost £350,000 from the latest lottery grants.

The money has been distributed by the Association of Jersey Charities.

11 member charities have been successful in their bids for support.  Much of the money is going on staff costs.

Among them, a new producer for ArtHouse Jersey's outreach programme (£30k) and an additional support worker for Sanctuary Trust (£29k)

Jersey Marine Conservation will use £21,000 for a new RIB for its sea survey work, while Les Amis can get a new van for its recycling business with almost the same sum.

Jersey Heritage is spending £5,300 repairing the fountain and sculpture in the Museum courtyard.

Other beneficiaries are the NSPCC, Brightly, Music in Action, Youth Arts, JAAR and Grace Trust.
