Guernsey Police says its received reports of rope and string being placed across a road in the island.
The force says this is not only extremely stupid and unbelievingly dangerous, but it could easily kill someone.
"At the very least, anyone travelling at speed who then hits a rope or string which has been placed deliberately across the road is going to be injured, it just a question of how badly."
We have been made aware of reports of rope and string being placed across a road.
