Passengers will be able to use a new shelter being put up at Cobo, away from the winds and high tide.
The shelter will be put up this week, on the landward side of the road, north of the car park for Les Residences apartments.
Traffic and Highways says this is a more sheltered location, away from the slipway which is exposed to winds and high tides.
Cobo was chosen because the stop is popular with passengers.
The pavement on both sides of the road will be lowered to enable those with wheelchairs and pushchairs to get across more easily.
Colin Le Page is a manager at Traffic and Highways:
“Following the installation of new bus shelters in St Martin, St Andrew and Pembroke, it’s great that we are installing a bus shelter in such a popular location for both local residents and visitors to the island.
This is just one small part of our ongoing efforts to make bus travel a more appealing and accessible transport option, providing seating for waiting passengers and offering protection for users during wet and windy weather.”
