British born Jazz Singer, Carrie Hamilton’s musical career draws from inspirations throughout her colourful life. Originally a classically trained musician, she studied at Wells Cathedral Music School, before being offered a place to study for a Masters in Composition at Tish, NYU, New York.
Carrie is an established Jazz singer and music educator who has been regularly singing, composing and arranging with bands worldwide, with career highlights taking her to Italy, France and the Caribbean. She has supported artists such as Claire Martin & Clare Teal at the Liberation Festival, and Cleo Laine with the BBC Big Band at Jazz on the Green. She has also performed at the exclusive Hotel Belle Rive, Cap d’Antibes, as well as part of a residency at the iconic Beaufort Bar at London’s Savoy Hotel.
