Six More Top States Jobs-Filled

Six more senior appointments have been made to Jersey’s public sector.

All of the the new States Directors are coming to the island from the UK.

They are the latest to be recruited as part of Charlie Parker’s ‘One Government’ restructuring of the public sector.

Dr Megan Mathias is coming from the Wales Centre for Public Policy to become Group Director of Policy.

Steve Skelton joins from Stockport Council as Director of Strategy and Innovation and Dr Anuschka Muller moves from Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust to be Director of Corporate Performance and Planning.

Saboohi Famili, who used to Principal of Guernsey College, has been hired as Director of Young People in the Children’s Department.

Mike Thomas is coming from Grant Thornton in Liverpool to become Director of Risk And Audit at the Treasury.

The only local appointment is Jersey-born Kate Briden who will be returning to the island from the Royal Courts of Justice to become Group Director of Public Protection and Law Enforcement in Home Affairs.

Three of the six appointments will join in January when their notice periods expire. Start dates for the other three are yet to be confirmed.
