Parking Concerns Near New States Base

13th October 2018

There was no specific analysis done of car parking available around the States new ‘one front door’ base for tax, planning and benefits queries.

Later this month several front-line services will move into the Social Security building on La Motte Street.

Some islanders have raised concerns about the lack of dedicated parking, something the Chief Minister was questioned about in the States.

Senator John Le Fondré says no study was done, but that Philip Le Feuvre House was the only feasible location.

“We have Green Street, we have Snow Hill. We do have some disabled parking and obviously we will have Ann Court.

“It’s not ideal, but it is important that we bring all the services together under one roof which is about making things easier for people who use our services.”
