Passport Prices Going Up

It will be more expensive to buy a passport from October.

It's the first increase since 2009.

A standard passport will cost £85 from October 1st, with a child passport set at £58.50.

Work permit fees will also go up slightly on the same date.

"These increases are to ensure Jersey’s service fees align with the other Crown Dependencies and the UK and will ensure passport applicants contribute towards the increasing costs of passport services. The implementation of new systems and passport security features means costs of service provision have risen higher than last assessed in 2009." - Constable Len Norman, Home Affairs Minister.

The Jersey version of the British passport is issued by the Jersey Passport Office on behalf of the Crown and is printed and delivered from the UK.
