Care Inquiry Progress: Views Sought

A scrutiny panel wants islanders’ views on what progress Jersey’s government has made with the Care Inquiry recommendations.

It has been a year since Ministers published their first response setting out what action it would take to improve the island’s failing systems.

The Care of Children in Jersey Panel particularly wants to know what successes there have been, what needs further attention and if there have been any more failings.

Panel chairman Deputy Rob Ward says the views of the public are crucial;

“Things have happened – but they have been very-much States driven changes. What we want to see now is the way the general public and stakeholders see these changes have actually been implemented, and what they want to see happen next.”

The deadline for responses is 9th November. Submissions can be made by [email protected]
