Jersey has just had its second warmest April since records began in 1894.

We enjoyed an average temperature of 13.5°C last month - more than 3°C higher than the average. The warmest ever April was in 2011.

The warmest day recorded in 2020 was on 11 April at 25.3°C.

There were more than 278 hours of sunshine (the 30-year average is 203.5)  - which made it the 8th sunniest April since 1925.

No measurable rainfall was recorded for 21 days last month, with 41.8mm falling across all 30 days. That's nearly 15mm less than average for that time of year.
