Woman Dragged Into Springfield Car Park

12th September 2018

A woman’s been grabbed from behind and dragged into a car park while walking at night in St Helier.

It happened near Springfield in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The woman was walking alone towards the junction of Val Plaisant and Trinity Road at 2:15 in the morning.

A man – who Police have described as being of Portuguese origin and in his late thirties with tattoos on both arms – tried to pull her into the car park on Springfield Road.

He’s said to have a broad build and short dark hair, which was slightly longer on top, and was wearing black trousers and a black short-sleeved shirt.

She managed to defend herself by using her keys and biting the man on his right hand, which Police say could have left visible injuries.

The man is said to have been apologising before he grabbed her, and walked off in the direction of Rouge Bouillon after the attack.

Police want anyone with dash cam footage of the area, or other information to contact them on 01534 612612 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
