Visitor Spending Up £3M
Visitors to Jersey spent more than £21 million in the first four months of this year.
That’s £3m more than the same period in 2017.
The increase is despite there being slightly fewer visitors to Jersey in 2018 so far.
However Visit Jersey says a 40% jump in day-trippers from France has had a big impact on visitor spending.
The number of holidaymakers is down 13% but business visits are up 7%. The average stay is four nights.
Four in ten visitors were on their first trip to the island.
