Nobody is to be prosecuted following an investigation into the alleged misuse of a States credit card.
Jersey’s Law Officers Department (LOD) has concluded there is not enough evidence to bring charges.
No arrests were made in relation to the probe, which was conducted by Jersey Police.
In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon, the LOD said: “The Law Officers’ Department has reviewed the evidence provided to it by the States of Jersey Police in respect of alleged misuse of a States of Jersey credit card and decided that there is insufficient evidence to prosecute.”
In August, Jersey Police launched an investigation into alleged unlawful spending on a States purchase card.
The suspected offence came under the Public Finances Jersey Law.
Officers said a man in his forties was assisting with their enquiries.
A government spokesperson also told Channel 103 that the States of Jersey was helping with the investigation.
At the end of September, Jersey Police submitted a file to the LOD after officers concluded their probe.
